We regret to announce that Ride to Recycle will not take place on May 16th, due to many factors, including not having enough participants to cover costs. We are in the process of organizing for another date, likely in Fall of 2010.

Ride to Recycle will start at Travis County East Metro Park and will include loops of 30, 53, 84, and 96 miles, good for anyone from a casual rider to an avid cyclist. All routes head East from East Metro Park and are flat, fast, and fun! The 84 and 96 mile routes will include a trip through Bastrop and Buescher State Parks.

There will also be a 5-10 mile kid's/family ride within East Metro Park.

Travis County East Metro Park is roughly a half hour East of Austin. From Downtown Austin, take I-35 North, then exit 238B and take 290 East. After eight miles, take a right on Boyce Ln, then an immediate left on Old 290. Follow into Manor, turn right at the stop sign onto Lexington, then turn left on Blake Manor Road. Follow for four miles and East Metro Park will be on the right.

Ride to Recycle Registration

Registration is closed until we have selected a new date for Ride to Recycle, likely in Fall of 2010.

We will need several volunteers to help with packet pickup, man the aid stations, and to make sure the start and finish go smoothly. Anyone can help, and any help is appreciated! More information on volunteering will be coming soon. If you have any questions, please email Robby at RJLandauer@gmail.com
